So you’re almost done with your first quarter at UCLA, congratulations! Even if you already feel like you know the ins and outs of this school, there are still some things that may surprise you. Like did you know that as a UCLA student you have access to about a billion resources?!??!? That may have been an exaggeration, but here are some good unknown resources for UCLA students!
Lynda.com is an online school that offers classes ranging from HTML coding to Final Cut Pro to learning basic business skills. Just go to learnit.ucla.edu and click on the Lynda.com link on the right and log in to your myUCLA account. THERE’S SO MUCH LEARNING TO BE HAD!
2. Amazon Prime
Use your student email and get 6 months of FREE Amazon Prime membership! However, please note that after your 6 month period is up you will be charged for prime, but it is at half the cost of normal prime (student prime is $49/year).
3. Admission into UCLA Sporting Events
UCLA students have free access to many of our teams sporting events year round. Go support your fellow bruins!
4. Free Movie/Concert Tickets
The Campus Events Commission posts free shows and concerts that students can go see. Now excuse me while I continue to refresh their page until free things appear.
5. Late Night Shuttle
UCLA provides free late night shuttle rides back from campus! With multiple pick up and drop-off locations it’s incredibly easy to get a safe ride back home.
