Day of the Dead, or Día de Muertos in Spanish, is a Mexican holiday observed throughout Mexico and around the world! During this holiday, there is a strong focus on the bringing together of family and friends in order to pray for and remember those loves ones who have died. It may sound grim, but it’s considered a celebration! It takes place on October 31, November 1 and November 2, in connection with Halloween! On this day people make sugar skulls, dress up, and paint their faces as skulls!
