Mother’s Day

mothers day DIY gifts

Did you know this Sunday is Mother’s Day?  Are you now freaking out because you completely forgot and have not gotten your mom a gift yet?  Don’t worry, OTH has you covered, with these cute and easy tutorials for DIY Mother’s Day gifts!

1. Repurpose mason jars.  For some reason, mason jars are all the rage right now with mothers (and hipsters, but that’s beside point).  Not only are they extremely cheap, but they are also really versatile when it comes to DIY projects.  So if you’re feeling crafty, try making a salt or soap dispenser out of your mason jar!

2. Give your mom flowers in these colorful tin cans to brighten her day!  Because, when in doubt, flowers.

3. Does your mom like to shop?  Buy a cheap bag and follow these steps to make a cute chevron tote.  All you need is the bag, paint, brush, and masking tape.

4. If you’re going home this weekend, you might want to consider making her some food.  Here is a super easy recipe for pancakes if you want to make her breakfast in bed.  And even if it turns out awful, your mom will probably still love you.

5. If you don’t have the resources or skill to make anything listed above, you can always make your mom a creative card!  Nothing says I love you more than words from the heart (except maybe doing your own laundry when you go home).

And no matter what you’re doing this weekend, make sure you call your mom and wish her a Happy Mother’s Day!
